Treatment Options

There are many treatment options for orthodontics, but we are here for you to help decide what is best. Feel free to explore your options below, and let us know if you have any questions.

Children

Kids aged 7-11

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that children get their first orthodontic evaluation at the age of 7, and we couldn’t agree more. This is the perfect time to evaluate your child to make sure their occlusion is developing properly. While baby teeth are falling out and permanent teeth are developing, it is important to make sure everything is occurring naturally. Dr. John will do a comprehensive exam to screen for any potential problems by evaluating the growth of their jaws and development of their teeth. And don’t worry, we will only recommend treatment that is absolutely needed! We strive to make it worth your time to do a quick, free exam to make sure there are no problems developing.

Teens

Adolescents aged 12-17

Most orthodontic problems are easiest to correct around the time of a child's growth spurt. This is why it is so common for children to get braces when they are young teenagers. We recognize that every child is different and will require a unique treatment plan. That is why Dr. John will do a thorough comprehensive exam to provide your child with all the possible treatment options. YOU will then be able to decide which treatment is best for your family.

Make sure to check out our different treatment options including regular braces, clear braces, and Invisalign. Dr. John will tell you the advantages and disadvantages of each option.

Adults

Adults aged 18+

Here’s the great thing about Orthodontics. No matter how old you are, your teeth will always be able to move and get straight! Nervous about looking professional with braces? We offer numerous options that will get your teeth straight without anyone ever noticing. Schedule an exam today and see what option will be best for you.

Relapse

Have you had orthodontics before, and now your teeth have slightly shifted? Are you tired of having your lower crowding, or want any adjustments to your front teeth? Then we have the perfect treatment options for you! Schedule an exam, and see what we can offer you. You don’t have to have full braces again, and we can fix those problems much quicker than regular treatment.

Traditional Braces

Traditional or metal braces are the standard kind of braces

Standard metal braces are the backbone of orthodontics because they are typically the most efficient and effective. Of course, there is more than one way to get your teeth straight and they all will work, but the metal braces have historically been shown to be the best. Thankfully, metal braces have come a long way and are now smaller and more comfortable than ever before. We offer a huge selection of color to choose from to make the metal braces as fun and customizable as you want!

Invisalign

Transparent plastic tooth molds that are practically invisible

Invisalign is a system that uses a series of clear plastic trays to incrementally straighten your teeth. These aligners are practically invisible and removable, which means you get to take them out when you’re eating and brushing. This is a great esthetic option, but it is only reserved for the dedicated. You are the one responsible for changing the trays on a weekly basis and wearing them as much as possible.

Ceramic Braces

Ceramic braces are clear or tooth-colored and are designed to blend in

Ceramic braces, or clear braces, are a great option for those looking to avoid metal braces. These are the same size and shape of standard metal braces, but are made of a ceramic material to give them the same color as teeth.

Lingual Braces

Brackets on the back of your teeth stay out of sight

If you are looking for a completely invisible option to get your straight teeth, then lingual braces are for you. They are custom made to fit on the inside (tongue side) of your teeth. You are warned that this option will be more uncomfortable for your tongue though! Even your speech can be affected at first, but most people adapt to them in a short period of time.

TMD/Joint Therapy
